Leroy M. Hanson, 85, of Horseshoe Bay, Texas, passed away Nov. 1, 2014. Roy was born March 16, 1929, to Leroy and Cecilia Hanson of Montgomery, Minnesota.
After serving in the U.S. Navy and Army, he went on to become an accomplished journeyman carpenter and a longtime building contractor in St. Paul, Minnesota. The past 19 years in retirement were spent in Texas with his beloved wife of 64 years, Shirley.
He is survived by his wife Shirley; sons, Dale and Steven; daughters, Linda, Laura, Nancy and Jane; as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brothers, Howard and Thomas, and sister, Lucille.
A memorial service is 10 a.m. Nov. 15 at The Church at Horseshoe Bay.
The Hanson family would like to express their gratitude to all who walked with him in this journey.
