Frances Knutson, 87, of Burnet passed away Jan. 31, 2015. Frances was born Dec. 15, 1927, in Stuart, Oklahoma, to Worthy and Bertha Lane Sparks.
She was preceded in death by her parents; grandparents; sister, Helen Cantrel; brothers F.J. Rowney and Robert Rowney; and an infant son, Jack Albert Jones Jr.
Survivors include daughters, Sue and Melvin McMullin of Burnet, Wanda and Phillip Crumbley of Burnet and Linn and Jerry Cascadden of Live Oak, Florida; and brother Mason Rowney of Burnet. Also surviving Frances are Ronny and Glenda Jones of Luther, Oklahoma, Charles and Petra Jones of Pleasanton and Allen and Phyllis Jones of Sinton. Also left to carry on her family heritage are 44 grandchildren, including 12 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, nine great-great-grandchildren and one great-great-great grandchild to be born in February, along with too many nieces and nephews to count but who are loved none the less.
From Frances: “I wish to say I have loved each and every one of you in my own way. Goodbye and God bless each and every one of you.”
A funeral service is 3 p.m. Feb. 2 with visitation starting at 1 p.m. at Edgar & Jenkins Family Funeral Home, 109 N. Main St. in Burnet, (512) 756-4444. Interment will follow at Post Mountain Cemetery.
