Joan P. “Jodie” Jones passed away Feb. 4, 2015, at the age of 89.
Jodie was the younger of two girls, born to Milton and Trudy Primm on Aug. 5, 1925, in Wichita, Kansas. She graduated from Wichita State University and married Frank T. Jones on Aug. 31, 1947. They had one son, Jeffrey Clarke Jones.
Jodie had a full life. She was a lifelong member of P.E.O. and volunteered for the American Cancer Society, the March of Dimes, the American Heart Association, her church and various rest homes. She always helped her friends in need.
Jodie enjoyed entertaining her family and friends in her home.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband, Frank; her older sister, Bette Primm Dolfi; and her dogs she loved so much.
She is survived by her son and his wife, Jeffrey and McDonna Lynn Jones; two grandchildren, Randi Nicole Cormack and husband Chad and Megan Amanda Jones; and three great-grandchildren, Kennedi Jane, Broderic William and Astrid Olivia.
Visitation is 10 a.m. Feb. 9 at Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home, 1805 U.S. 281 North in Marble Falls, (830) 693-4373, with a funeral service following at 11 a.m. Another visitation is 5-6 p.m. Feb. 11 at Downing and Lakey Funeral Home East in Wichita, Kansas. Burial will be in Freeport, Kansas.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or the charity of your choice.
