Wilma B. Goodwin, 84, went to be with her Lord on Dec. 15, 2014. She was born in Elgin, Texas, on Sept. 14, 1930, to Ed and Florence Gunn.
Wilma was a devoted Christian and active in her church throughout her life. Most recently, she attended Maranatha Bible Church in Akron, Ohio. Wilma’s encouragement was instrumental in the spiritual growth of many family members and friends. She had many struggles in life but always remained faithful, kind and able to see the good in others. She will be deeply missed by everyone who knew her.
In addition to her parents, Wilma was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard; and siblings, Elizabeth, George, Leon, Dub and Carl.
She is survived by her loving children, Paula (Wayne) Krause, Debbie (Victor) Singleton and Chuck (Sandra) Kelly; sisters Bertha (Bill) Garfield and Gladys Cook; grandchildren, Jason (Michelle) Singleton, Nicholas (Mariel) Singleton, Melissa Kelly and Amanda (Bryan) Mouton; and great-grandchildren, Emma and Max Singleton.
Wilma will be laid to rest at Lakeland Hills Memorial Park in Burnet, Texas.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or Maranatha Bible Church.
