Rocco Traficanto Jr., 86, of Austin went to be with the Lord on Jan. 17, 2015. He was a resident of the Llano Nursing and Rehabilitation Home. Rocco was born Dec. 13, 1928, in Scamon, Kansas, to Rocco and Dora Traficanto.
At and early age, he migrated with his family to Chicago, and it is there he spent most of his life. He had been in Texas since 1994. He retired as a machinist many years ago.
He was preceded in death by his parents, four sisters, and three brothers. He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Dolores. He is also survived by his sister Pearl Pendergrass of Arizona; Angelo Traficanto of Illinois; daughter, Sharon Traficanto of Austin; Mark Traficanto of Llano; two grandchildren, Courtney and Brittany; and one great-grandchild, Alyssa.
Visitation is 6-8 p.m. Jan. 20 at Waldrope-Hatfield-Hawthorne Funeral Home, 307 E. Sandstone in Llano, (325) 247-4300. A funeral service is 11 a.m. Jan. 21 at the funeral home.
